'The Karate Kid' was awwwwsome !! It's a standing ovation. That is how much I love it. Despite being quite a buzz generated for not being almost close as good to the original movie, I still love it as much. It is the remake of the 1984 The Karate Kid movie. And as much comparison being made for this movie with the original, they should know that the movie is a remake of the original. Therefore, they're only taking some key elements from the original. My say, The Karate Kid 80's generation have got to move on !
Yesterday was a usual hang out for me, Syaz, Iddy, Shatt, Farid, Acap and Muri. But the usual are always memorable when I'm with them because they're my great ones. Finally, having so many excuses between us all, we did ourselves a favour in reconnecting the months of not seeing each other. We were joined by Syiera when we decided to play bowling at 'Ole-Ole' section 18. I went there alone a tad late since I had other priorities to do at home by first hand. After sucking way too much at bowling in two consecutive sets, I decided that we should go and watch a movie together. It's my way of saying I need more time to spend with them(Yelah. Bukan senang nak gather and jumpa each one of them). Which lead us all, with the exception of Syiera to watch 'The Karate Kid' in Sunway. Shatt and I were fasting for Rejab, and so I was in the mood for 'Pepper Lunch' for the second time as to break fasting. I'm glad all the others like it because they never had them before. I had 'Cut Steak with Egg' for the second time. This time with the Miso soup. And dessert's a must since I have a sweet tooth. So I ordered one Caramel ice-cream for oneself, and another one for Shatt. Yumm (:
Later, went for solat before we could move on to play games in the arcade while waiting for the 9 p.m. movie. I never knew playing Daytona can be so much fun ! Because I'm not much of a gamer. Used to. Way back then. I guess it is more fun to play when you have 5 friends racing through each other. Syaz do me proud for getting in the 1st place. Girl power !! I lose big time thank you. But I'm determine to train myself. Siap nak train :b So Syazo, be my sifu ! Hehe. Jangan main-main, kecil-kecil cili api Si Kenit seorang ni.
After Daytona and some balls shooting, we finally went for our movie. I never thought I could go on with the movie until it ended because we were sitting at the second front row. But boy, Jaden got me reasonably entertained until the movie ended with a round of applause from the audiences. He's funny and got so much of his dad's potential in acting. I knew this was coming anyway, because I cried while watching 'Pursuit of Happiness' before. If you'd watched it, you will know how Will and Jaden made a good team acting in this uplifting movie. I have to say that 'The Karate Kid' have got to be one of my favourite movie this year though the year has not yet ended. Kudos to Jaden and Jackie for great performances in acting. A great way to recreate the film. To those who haven't watched this movie, I highly recommend it ! Especially when you're not that very hard to be pleased by something.
By the way, this is buncit boy, Akmal in his tae-kwan-do uniform. Haha.
